WFMU

(Printed Matter)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This publication delves into the non-linear and non-logical structure of the essay film 'WMFU,' a 24-hour radio station featuring absurd and humorous content.

DESIGN CONCEPT:
Positioned between documentary cinema and video art, essay films are inherently self-reflective and self-referential. The design incorporates analogical technology aesthetics in the digital realm, mirroring the film's multi-layered and non-linear ideas. Typography is employed to capture the disjointed visual associations inspired by the film, drawing influence from Hito Steyerl's essay 'Poor Images.'

When viewed from a different perspective, the blocks forms the word "optimized” ︎︎︎
